The Salinas River winds past King City, Greenfield, and Soledad before it reaches the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary—connecting every resident to this incredible ecosystem. Yet many 4th–6th graders have never had the chance to see the bay up close and experience its beauty.
We’re changing that! For the fourth year, O’Neill Sea Odyssey is joining Monterey County Gives, and thanks to $6,000 in challenge gifts from West Coast County Bank and Jim & Debbie Thoits (OSO Board member), your donations can go even further.
Here’s how your support makes a difference:
-
$500 provides a transportation scholarship for an entire class.
-
$150 gives one student access to our hands-on ocean curriculum on the water and in our shoreside classroom.
Now through December 31, you can make a tax-deductible gift to inspire a student’s sense of wonder, support healthy communities, and protect our environment. Let’s bring the Monterey Bay to the students who need it most—because the environment needs all of us. Donate today!
